Christian Education Survey

*Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)*

From time to time it is wise to evaluate what one is doing for the Lord, in order to determine if we are still on the right path, or whether we need to make some adjustments. One of our guiding principles here at FBC is that we always want to be moving forward for the Lord. God told Moses, "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward." That is our goal. Toward that end, we are in the process of evaluating some of our ministries, and especially those ministries related to Christian Education. We are looking into our Sunday School, Jr. Church, and Youth offerings, in an attempt to improve them. Frankly, attendance in those areas is poor, and we are unsure why. While all churches see only a percentage of their Sunday morning worship attendance participating in Sunday School, our percentage is far below average.

So, this is an attempt to understand what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong in our Christian Education efforts at Friendship Bible Church. Children's Christian Education offerings at FBC currently include the 9:30-10:15 Sunday School time, the 10:30-11:30 Junior Church time, and the Sunday evening youth group meetings.

Your candid, truthful and prayerful answers to these questions will greatly help. You need not include your name unless you would like to have a follow up discussion with one or more of the elders about your thoughts.

And thank you for helping us improve!
